I've spent the past 40 plus years in Nursing. Mostly Home Health and Hospice and have held postitions ranging from staff level Case Manager to Administrative Director and Executive Director. I tell my friends that I make a much better "Vice President" than President. I'm not fond of the administrative duties but I'm a problem solver and love a good challenge! These days, yes....I'm still working....I'm happy to be a part-time "worker bee". I have a small consulting business and focus on Private Duty Home Care. I conduct Orientations and create state compliant program description documents and training plans for new agencies.
I am a contract trainer for a software company based in Austin, TX, (great place to visit), and train folks on our Private Duty software solution for EHR's.
And....I'm picking up some per diem work as a Hospice Visit Nurse for an agency here in Monterey.
After leaving the halls of Paly, spending a year at Foothill, and moving up to Chico to pursue my dream of being an English teacher; I ended up dropping out for a while an resuming my education in Hawaii where I became a nurse. My parents were both physicians and although they never pushed me towards medicine, it seems it was my destiny and I've never regretted it......far too many adventures to convey here but great to be in touch.
I love gardening, writing, music and all things nature...and try to get a walk on the beach in once a week.
