Hey Gil, just checking in. I usually read and catch up on this site maybe 2-3 times a week....I am usually so overwhelmed that I can't respond! But, it is fun hearing what Paly Peeps are up too, even if I don't always agree with some of the views. Now to say HELLO to you! Have you had your recent surgery? PLMK how things are going....I DO care. Hope life continues to treat you fairly (as fairly as possible) and you and your lovely wife ENJOY each day (as best as possible). At least we are not in the "memories" section, as so many of our classmates. HUGS, Lee

Happy B-day to you on the 18th. We share the same day of celebration, although, I like to celebrate EVERYDAY. Hope this finds you and the family well. HUGS, Lee
Kathy, SO GREAT to hear from you. Trust me I understand being "booked" when it comes to family.....BUT, isn't it great that we HAVE family ?! Anywhoooooooooooooooo, give a call or e-mail bnlbaker@twc.com anytime and hopefully we can connect in the near future. Take care and I hope life continues to make you happy....except for the RA....wow, what a bummer! Are meds helping? It's a tradeoff. Due to years of anti-inflam's I now have kidney issues. Oh well, at least I'm still here! I work a lot on denial! Much love and hugs, Lee
Happy B-day sweet lady.....we REALLY need to connect....whenever you are ready

Thanks for the "nudge" dear Roger. It is definitely time to catch up and participate. I love this site and hope you keep it going. I know it is not an easy job, but you do it so well!! I should just check in daily to see the haps, but I don't get on the computer every day. YEP, I am that out of touch with technology. Still don't have a smart phone (do have a flip phone...one that both my husband and I share), BUT we don't text. Still have a land line. For now this works for us. You can call ANYTIME. Over the years I have connected with several classmates and would LOVE to connect with more. San Diego is a beautiful place and anyone is welcome to come a knockin'. Bake and I are usually home. The pandemic kind of spoiled me for large crowds and "stupid" people. Guess I am getting grumpy in my old age. LOL
At lasst I wrote, I was getting ready for my 4th back surgery. I can't tell you how THRILLED I am with the results!! My x-rays are truly a site to behold...I am very proud of them.. I have a LOT of titanium holding me together.....BUT, after a long recovery and a NOT a very patient patient, this is the beat I have felt in YEARS!! Now if my hands would just cooperate. I am now an "arthritis making machine"....but so goes life. I will be 72 yrs. old in August and I am grateful of EVERYDAY !!
Thanks again to everyone that keeps this site going....Chessa, you are amazing. I wish I could participate with a word now and again and I will try to be better about it.

Hi everyone, so sorry it has been SO LONG since I have participated. I always have such good intentions, but then every time I read the messages to catch up, I get OVERWHELMED and don't know where to start. So, I am just going to jump into the "pool". My heart aches for Greg and his medical condition. I can't begin to express how much I admire his courage and strength.......I KNOW how hard it is to keep a positive attitude and keep fighting each and every minute of every day. Every time I start to post my "updates", I feel so silly complaining when others are so much worse off than I am. BUT, here goes. I am 24hrs away from my 4th back surgery. They have all been successful, mostly due to an AMAZING team of specialists. Along with the back surgeries, I have had numerous joints replaced over the years. Gues all those years of baton twirling (plus) finally caught up to me! I am NOT looking forward to this surgery as "they" keep referring to this one as a "major commitment".......if I had a choice it would be different. TIME to get out of this pain and move on! Temporary inconvenience, permanent fix! One step at a time! Now that I have whined, I just want to thank everyone for their positive thoughts and prayers......I WILL be fine....just have to be a patient patient.
Other than the surgery, my life is GREAT! I have a loving supportive husband and family that wraps me in LOVE. I have a wonderful house (all 1 level), big/fun yard full of flowers and plants, and 8 cats (7 outdoor/feral) and 1 indoor, ALL extremely spoiled! I live in San Diego with lovely neighbors and outstanding weather. I have a job I work 1 day a week (mostly) in sports. So, as you can see, I really have nothing to complain about!
THANKS to all of you that keep this site going, and a BIG HUG to each and every one of you!!! THANKS for listening. Peace out, LEE

Ashley, thank you for the update....I am beyond sad to know that the world has lost a truly bright star. I will continue to hold her in my heart and cherish the chats that we had in our adult life.....we had a lot in common. My love to you and the family that she loved so much! HUGS, Lee Baker
